My research in UW-Madison's Precision Mechatronics and Controls Lab within the Wisconsin Electric Machines and Power Electronics Consortium explored the use of an integrated actuator using off-the-shelf motor, magnetic gears, integrated driving electronics, and embedded controllers within robotic systems.
