About Me

I’m Owen Garrett, a senior pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (with certificates in Data Science and Statistics) at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. I blend hands-on prototyping, CAD design, and data-driven analysis to turn ideas into impactful products. Whether it’s optimizing a gear-blank in MASTA, scripting embedded controls with Python and Arduino, or building interactive Power BI dashboards, I thrive at the intersection of mechanics, electronics, and software.

I’m deeply curious about how emerging technologies—AI, IoT, advanced manufacturing—can drive life-changing innovations. My projects span rapid-iteration prototypes, full-scale system validation, and cross-functional collaboration, all aimed at solving real-world challenges.

Outside of engineering, you’ll find me in the gym (weightlifting), playing video games (NBA 2K, NCAA 26, COD), on the pickleball court, behind the camera (photo editing), or exploring hiking trails. I’m also a devoted college-football fan and enjoy cooking new recipes to share with friends.
